Map
The world map is a hex atlas of regions the client has revealed to you. Its key marks your region, the region you selected, visited land, land you have seen but not visited, and unexplored ground. The official site names forests, coasts, deserts, and mountains in one connected world.
The key
The world-map key in the client uses these labels:
| Key | Meaning on the map |
|---|---|
| Your region | Where you are |
| Selected region | The region you picked |
| Visited | A region you have visited |
| Seen, not visited | Revealed, not yet walked |
| Unexplored | Not revealed. Drawn with a question mark |
A small note under the key says dimmed terrain has not been visited, and that a double-click on a visited region opens its local map. The map graphic is a hexagon.
How you move
Field Guide step seven: use an exit or the world map to travel to a connected zone. The action bar labels M as Travel. Help says M opens the local map, and World opens the atlas. Drag pans, and the scroll wheel zooms. Walking to a region edge travels, and the hint near the edge names the next region.
Coasts and the shared world
The official Explore line names forests, coasts, deserts, and mountains, and says they are one connected world. The Frontier Update listed “New coastal lands” on 2026-10-22. This page does not inventory regions, and it does not claim a coast was added again on 2026-10-23.
The official Together line says everyone shares the same world. Read that on asciilands.io. The wipe answer is separate, on the FAQ. This page does not say buildings last forever.
